The Durst Organization, founded in 1915 by Joseph Durst, is the owner, manager and builder of 13 million square feet of premiere Manhattan office towers and 1,250 units of residential rental housing. The Durst Organization is the joint venture and equity partner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the development of One World Trade Center, the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building. The Durst Organization is the managing partner of the 3 million square foot office tower responsible for tenant fit-out, leasing and property management. The Durst Organization is currently building two mixed-use residential buildings. 855 Avenue of the Americas is a 570,000 square foot residential rental tower above an office and retail base and W57th Street is a 709 unit rental building above 45,000 square feet of retail. Both projects are slated for completion in 2015.

We are seeking an information technology professional to join our helpdesk team to maintain the consistent operation of The Durst Organization Computer Network. This includes researching, supporting, purchasing, installing, configuring, setting up, maintaining, and optimizing all workstations, servers, and other peripheral equipment across our company portfolio properties.


  • Complete jobs in  Web Helpdesk within 72 hours after they are initiated or have current  status update.
  • Use Web Helpdesk to maintain  accurate IT asset management, including maintenance and purchase agreement information for all IT resources.
  • Interact with vendors and contractors to provide required products and services.
  • Archive data and restore data as required
  • Perform daily backup procedures for all Servers
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Ensure network connectivity of all networking equipment.
  • Monitor and test network performance, and provide feedback to the VP/Director of Information Technology
  • Configure and  submit for purchase all hardware required for IT department
  • Prepare instructional documents and videos on relevant IT procedures and applications
  • Scan all IT documents into Application Extender
  • Prepare and setup Conference Rooms for Internet and Network access
  • Perform all other related duties as required and assigned



  • 4 year accredited college degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in System Administration
  • Software Application Support
  • Hardware Support
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
