The Residential Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the leasing staff and leasing of apartments, as well as, the generation and associated analysis of reports documenting building performance and market conditions. The Residential Leasing Manager will advise leadership on best practices and sustain a leasing office that provides to best in class customer service.


  • Responsible for supervising and overseeing the daily operations of assigned portfolio properties
  • Responsible for marketing and advertising open apartments and coordinating with management and the marketing department to ensure brand consistency and accuracy
  • Show and lease apartments to prospective residents
  • Prepare Weekly Reports and Monthly Management Reports for presentation to the owners and management team
  • Prepare and maintain Rental Activity Report
  • Prepare and maintain Master Renewal Report
  • Review and approve lease applications based on report provided from On-Site
  • Review The Comparable Report to use when setting rents on both new leases and renewals
  • Oversee leasing agents with processing of applications in On-Site, lease preparation and lease signings
  • Respond to email inquiries from prospective residents
  • Oversee the update of all relevant websites and portals with current availability and pricing.
  • Oversee the preparation of renewal lease forms
  • Provide hands on management of leasing professionals to include: scheduling, performance reviews and training.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


  • Four (4) year degree from accredited institution, preferably in business, sales or real estate, or industry experience relevant to the position
  • A minimum of 2 years’ managing a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, on multiple projects,
  • Proven problem-solver and strong planning, analysis and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with residential leasing in the New York City Class A market
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of budget and schedule creation and management
  • Applied knowledge of software platforms such as Excel, Microsoft Office, and onsite management systems
