    The Durst Organization, founded in 1915 by Joseph Durst, is the owner, manager and builder of 13 million square feet of premiere Manhattan office towers and 1,250 units of residential rental housing.     The Durst Organization is the joint venture and equity partner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the development of One World Trade Center, the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building. The Durst Organization is the managing partner of the 3 million square foot office tower responsible for tenant fit-out, leasing and property management. The Durst Organization is currently building two mixed-use residential buildings. 855 Avenue of the Americas is a 570,000 square foot residential rental tower above an office and retail base and W57th Street is a 709 unit rental building above 45,000 square feet of retail. Both projects are slated for completion in 2015.

    Assists the Office Operations Department with mailroom operations and interacts with a diverse group of internal and external clients. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload to ensure highest value and best services are provided.


    Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws.


    • Mail Preparation and Delivery: Proficiency in time management toward ensuring prompt delivery of outgoing registered and certified mail to outside companies, vendors, tenants, and to USPS/FedEx/Messenger Service.
    • Mail Distribution: Digitally record received items for documentation and security. Efficiency and accuracy in sorting, distributing, and routing interoffice mail within the Main Office and to other building offices.
    • Work with the department to continuously update processes and procedures on all day to day responsibilities.
    • Time-sensitive Mailing: Effectively coordinates with internal departments to provide efficient delivery and receipt of time-sensitive documents.
    • Office Moves: Liaison between Manager and Office Clerks to help plan and execute office moves.
    • Additional Services: Provide facilities support to include in-house and outside photocopying jobs, faxing, maintaining stock of and ordering office supplies, and assistance with conference rooms.
    • Provide data based suggestions for operational improvements.
    • Work with Manager to prioritize and delegate job tasks, responding to staff problems and complaints to ensure a timely resolution.
    • Provides upper management with daily, monthly and/or annual statistical reports.
    • Enforces Company protocols.
    • Ensures all mailroom equipment is operational and maintained
    • Manage and improve the logistical aspect of all operations and delivery methods.
    • Maintain company inventory system for the mailroom operations center and track all related expenses.
    • Responsible for executive requests: Distribution of tasks, tracking, and prioritizing.
    • Manage our task tracker for all tasks in the mailroom operations center.
    • Supervisory Responsibility Assigns, reviews and checks work of regular employees during a major portion of the time; or supervises regular employees.
    • Perform all other related duties as required and assigned






    • Associate Degree from an accredited school or equivalent professional experienc
    • 3-5 years of supervisory experience
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff
    • Able to interact effectively with diverse personas
    • Able to work independently and manage team
    • Able to set priorities and maintain functional work environment
    • Effective oral and written communication. Writes and speaks in a clear, concise manner, actively listens and modifies message for recipients
    • Computer skills including databases, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload to ensure highest value and best services are provided.
