    The Durst Organization, founded in 1915 by Joseph Durst, is the owner, manager and builder of 13 million square feet of premiere Manhattan office towers and 1,250 units of residential rental housing. The Durst Organization built the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the United States, the 2.1 million square foot LEED Platinum Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park.     The Durst Organization is the joint venture and equity partner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the development of One World Trade Center, the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building. The Durst Organization is the managing partner of the 3 million square foot office tower responsible for tenant fit-out, leasing and property management. The Durst Organization is currently building two mixed-use residential buildings. 855 Avenue of the Americas is a 570,000 square foot residential rental tower above an office and retail base and W57th Street is a 709 unit rental building above 45,000 square feet of retail. Both projects are slated for completion in 2015.

    The Digital Designer job is a role for someone with at least 5 years of experience in the field. The Digital Designer’s primary responsibility is to create and deliver effective, aesthetic, on-brand, digital creative across a wide variety of platforms. Work includes the design and technical implementation of email blasts, digital banner ads, social media graphics, digital communications platforms including elevator screens and video walls, design for mobile/tablet apps as well as WordPress microsites and websites.

    The Digital Designer works in close collaboration with the in-house graphic design team as well as the Marketing, Public Affairs, and Leasing departments. He/she reports to the Sr. Graphic Design Manager.


    • Produce the design and production for websites, product graphics, social media graphics and banners, banner ads, email campaigns, and email templates. While some projects may require collaboration with consultants, the role is expected to be hands-on.
    • Design, updates and HTML coding of digital templates / assets.
    • Management of Open Asset (Digital Image Assets).
    • Translate product positioning, existing research, and offline/online marketing strategies into effective designs.
    • Work with e-commerce team and internal and external developers to ensure aesthetics are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards. Work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative vision.
    • Work with Marketing to translate and create marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designs.
    • Leverage analytics and campaign data to maximize design and technical implementation of digital tools.
    • Manage and produce digital design work, including banner sizing and versioning.
    • Translate wireframes into simple, easy-to-use User Interfaces.
    • Ensure consistency of brand and creative across digital customer touch points.
    • Provide design support to other business lines to create product graphics, logos, identity design, or other similar offline graphics.
    • Collaborate with marketing and IT teams on updates and maintenance of all desktop and mobile websites – Corporate, Residential, Commercial, and Public Affairs.
    • Ensure appropriate digital usage and branding for all digital communications, including Building Link.
    • Other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years successful professional design experience, preferably at a digital agency or in-house web team for a product-driven business.
    • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective design.
    • Able to present concepts and collaborate with internal teams to achieve business goals.
    • Experience in web marketing/web design with a strong knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, FTP, web design and development principles.
