    The Durst Organization, founded in 1915 by Joseph Durst, is the owner, manager and builder of 13 million square feet of premiere Manhattan office towers and 1,250 units of residential rental housing. The Durst Organization built the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the United States, the 2.1 million square foot LEED Platinum Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park. The Organization is recognized as a world leader in the development of high-performance and environmentally advanced commercial and residential properties.

    The Durst Organization is the joint venture and equity partner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the development of One World Trade Center, the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building. The Durst Organization is the managing partner of the 3 million square foot office tower responsible for tenant fit-out, leasing and property management. The Durst Organization is currently building two mixed-use residential buildings. 855 Avenue of the Americas is a 570,000 square foot residential rental tower above an office and retail base and W57th Street is a 709 unit rental building above 45,000 square feet of retail. Both projects are slated for completion in 2015.

    Participates in a wide array of support activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications.  Create business intelligence (interactive dashboards, etc.) providing transparency with technology investment spend, resource management, etc. enabling complex decision making for Senior Management.  Responsible for overall success of all development projects. Leads end to end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue/risk tracking, work breakdown structures, scheduling effort estimation and tracking, other project documentation preparation and turnover to production. Directs and controls all work performed within the framework of the project lifecycle. Develops the statement of work, including project justification and plan. Defines roles and responsibilities of the project team. Influences vendor and client relations by establishing project expectations. With more senior project managers, maintains regular contact with clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments. Works with all required Information Technology functions and groups to effectively plan and execute projects. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.





    • Design, build, manage, maintain, and optimize a data warehouse infrastructure 
    • Enterprise reporting and dashboard development
    • Manage BI Analytics design with development, testing and rollout approach for various business integration opportunities
    • Create templates in the BI Applications that can be used to support self-serve reporting and dashboarding

    • Create standards for ETL processes, storage and data exchange and make sure that the standards are enforced  
    • Transfer technical knowledge to team members and adapt to changing environment 
    • Research newer or better technologies to make our Business Intelligence Platform better from an engineering (design and development), auditing, data quality and performance standpoint 
    • Help orchestrate solutions to proactively expose areas of opportunity and provide strategic solutions to business problems 
    • In collaboration with the VP of IT, identify and set specific measurable goals for team member and recognize strengths and weaknesses of each team member - track performance and execution to goals
    • Participate in formal reviews and coaching for improvement 
    • Anticipate challenges and adjust schedule appropriately 
    • Collaborate with the VP of IT to establish best practices and common set of tools 
    • Manage day-to-day team project delivery 
    • Independently research, analyze, and document the tasks to achieve the project goals
    • Measure and report project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
    • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure deliverables are understood and that milestones are met on time, with consistency and accuracy
    • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
    • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
    • Establish clear expectations with the business and effectively communicate when priorities change
    • Work closely with business partners to understand their evolving business needs 
    • Act as a communication lead by scheduling and leading meetings and managing project life-cycle including status reporting (successes, issues, concerns and feedback), resources required for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation





      • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or equivalent work experience with an analytical focus
      • Prior experience with Data Warehousing and Performance concepts required.
      • 3-5 years working with a OLAP database (SQL Server preferred) 
      • 3-5 years working with various Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Crystal Reports, Cognos, Business Objects, or Looker) developing analytics, report visualization and interactive dashboards
      • 3-5 years of related project management/coordinator experience required, experience with technology or Real Estate industry is a plus
      • 3-5 years in evaluating, researching and implementing various database structures, algorithms, best practices and auditing mechanisms. 
      • 3-5 years leading Business Intelligence Team or equivalent 
      • Experience working on cloud-based platforms like AWS/GCP
      • Solid experience with change control and agile methodologies 
      • Strong Performance Tuning experience 
      • Experience with workflow management tools and tracking tools
      • Experience managing resources and project timing
      • Strong business writing skills
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
      • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
