    With direction from the Assistant Director of Operations, Philadelphia Marine Center, the security officer is responsible for the supporting effective administration of policies and procedures that promote a well-managed property. Security Officer may interact directly with Marina customers and tenants, identify and report dock maintenance issues, provide welcome packages to late-arriving customers, provide general assistance and information to Marina members and observe and report on events occurring in or near the Philadelphia Marine Center properties. Security Officer exercises independent judgment and direction within the framework of Company policies and procedures and management directives. The overriding objective toward which Security Officers direct all endeavors is the achievement of maximum return on investment through providing a safe, clean and well-presented property.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate surveillance camera observation system.
    • Make periodic walking rounds of the property as marked and indicated.
    • Assist late-arriving Marina customers.
    • Observe and report on events at and near the Philadelphia Marine Center properties.
    • Accept after hours calls to the Marina and direct information as appropriate.
    • Report observed material defects to Maintenance and to the Assistant Director of Operations.
    • Assist when necessary in snow removal, to support operations at the Philadelphia Marine Center.
    • Support tenant-focused relationship programs and processes that meet or exceed Marina member expectations.
    • Interact with customers during designated work shifts. Inquire into their requirements and ensure that they are met or forwarded to higher management for resolution.
    • Respond to emergency situations that may occur within the Philadelphia Marine Center properties; notifying the appropriate City of Philadelphia emergency agencies when necessary.

    Qualifications

     

    • High School Diploma or equivalent from accredited source.
    • Security Officer field experience.
    • Experience with direct customer service.
    • Valid Pennsylvania State Unarmed Security Guard License
