    We are actively seeking a staff accountant to assist the Accounting Department with preparation of financial information.   The staff accountant will interact with a diverse group of internal and external clients.  Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload to ensure highest value and best services are provided.   

    The Staff Accountant must be a team player who can interact with a diverse internal and external client group. The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail and the necessary judgment to plan and prioritize tasks efficiently.


    • Prepare financial information for use by management and auditors including financial statements, income statements for building operations, supporting schedules for sales tax and year-end audits, debt instruments reports, RPIE and Certiorari filing and audits

    • Review and analyze the accuracy general ledgers, budgets and year end procedures related to annual audits
    • Perform bookkeeping for Owners’ property, personal and workers’ compensation  insurance and   preparation data for income tax return
    • Arrange documentation for various corporate tax audits
    • Prepare federal and NYS payroll tax returns; prepare and reconcile W-2s; prepare compensation reports and benefits reports, such as 401K plan reports. 
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned



    • Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    • 2+  years of financial analysis experience
    • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Databases, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people
    • Ability to set priorities and maintain functional work environment
    • Effective oral and written communication.
