    Overview

    The IT Applications Specialist supports information technology specialists to manage and integrate structured and unstructured information and data and manage the organization, storage, and retrieval of records, while working closely with the Vice President of Information Technology, Director of Business Applications, General Counsel, and the Application Analyst

    Responsibilities

    • IT administration of the Durst Document Management System (DMS), including product upgrades, creating and refining workflows, permissions management, and user technical support 
    • IT administration of the Durst Historical Database (DHD), including product upgrades, permissions management, and user technical support
    • Develop solutions in response to user requirements for effectively managing documents and information
    • Manage and update the Durst Process Map, including integrations of existing systems with DMS 
    • Provide technical support for User Acceptance Testing and development of features, configuration, and projects related to DMS and information systems
    • Monitor quality assurance with regard to naming conventions, records classification, indexing, and application of disposal classes for retention and final disposition processing.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
    • Knowledge and demonstrated expertise with SQL, along with structured migrations of data and metadata crosswalks. 
    • Knowledge and demonstrated expertise of enterprise content management systems, including OpenText Content Server. 
    • Strong understanding of information architecture including theories, principles and knowledge of functional taxonomy and classification life cycle management.
