    Shift 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday (Saturday/Sunday Off)


    The Senior Security Manager will collaborate with the Director of Security to ensure the safety of employees, tenants and visitors throughout the organization. He/she will identify security initiatives and work to constantly update security guidelines and procedures.  The Senior Security Manager will maintain oversight for security managers, as well as, security officers and will physically patrol portfolio properties ensuring the safety of portfolio buildings and tenants.  Further, the Senior Security Manager will assist in the management of company responses to natural and manmade disasters.


    • Work to communicate physical and technical security strategies to security managers and other security personnel
    • Collaborate with senior management to maintain best practices with respect to security policies and procedures
    • Manage Security Manager staff schedules
    • Physically patrol security posts to oversee the safety and security of portfolio properties , as well as the performance of posted security officers
    • Respond expeditiously to calls of security breaches and other incidents made by building tenants, company employees and/or junior staff
    • Document both short-term plans and long-term strategy
    • Provide leadership, direction, guidance and training to Direct Report Security Managers and Guards under their supervision.
    • Liaise with government agencies and area law enforcement bodies to ensure the safety of Durst properties, employees, clients and visitors
    • Assist the Director of Security and Assistant Director of Security  in setting goals and planning for the future
    • Manage additional responsibilities within our security organization as necessary.


    • Bachelor’s degree in  Criminal Justice, or a related field or equivalent experience
    • 15 years of relevant work experience in law enforcement and/or security operations with at least five years of experience in a managerial capacity
    • Ability to articulate area security issues
    • Understanding of physical security strategies, policies, principles, procedures, and standards
    • Think critically through the intricacies of complex situations
    • Legal and physical ability to operate  motor vehicle
    • Technical knowledge and experience in defining access control policies and governance, asset protection best practices and as well as in supply chain security, business continuity and disaster recovery planning
    • Able to carry concealed weapons pursuant to H.R. 218, the "Law Enforcement Officers' Safety Act," now Public Law 108-277
