    Light Duty Cleaner candidate will create a positive experience by providing outstanding customer service to building tenants and guests.  Responsibilities will include ensuring that designated areas are clean and well organized at all times.


    This position is scheduled for Monday-Friday from 5:00pm-12:30am, subject to change. 


    • Empty wastebaskets by thoroughly damp wiping in/out, if required, leaving odor free and insert plastic liner. Collected rubbish must be placed in designated area for removal.
    • Dust and wipe clean all furniture (vertical and horizontal surfaces), equipment, telephones, and window sills.
    • Dust baseboards, chair rails, picture frames, and doors within reach.
    • Remove finger marks and smudges from all office entrance doors, light switches and door frames.
    • Vacuum all carpeted areas, sweep and/or damp mop all hard floor surfaces nightly.
    • Dust all doors and ventilating louvers within reach.
    • Clean all interior glass (other than windows):  i.e., glass partition, and glass doors.
    • Maintain janitor closet to standard level and ensure that all assigned equipment is clean.
    • Turn off all lights and secure all doors that are scheduled to be locked upon completion of cleaning.
    • Report to your immediate supervisor of any lights that are not working properly, malfunctioning door cylinders, faucets, toilet bowls, urinals, etc.


    Pantry Maintenance:

    • Clean all vertical and horizontal surfaces.
    • Clean one microwave, and the refrigerator, if directed.
    • Thoroughly sweep and damp mop floor.



    Areas of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Prior office cleaning experience or similar environment
    • Operate tools and equipment in general custodial work
    • Meet all schedule and timelines
    • Understand and follow work directions as provided by supervisor
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Follow instructions per tenant request
    • Work cooperatively with others
    • Observe health and safety regulations

    Physical demands: While performing duties of this job, employee is expected to perform moderate physical labor. Work is performed while standing and/or walking; requires bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching; the use of hands to finger to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; crouch; bend; talk; and hear.  Requires activities that involve exposure to dust and chemical fumes. The employee must have the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 50lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


    Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
