All applicants will be considered for all openings. | | The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities of the engineering department staff in coordination with the Chief Engineer and Property Manager. The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for investigating, estimating, planning and scheduling labor and materials for all operational and capital projects. Administering maintenance service contracts in conformance with established policies, procedures, and regulations of the Durst Organization Management Standards. Additionally, manages and implements engineering efficient work policies, procedures and PM programs. In addition, measures the Engineering Department work performance and provides recommendations for improvements that will benefit the asset in cost savings and work standards. The Manager maintains relations with the property managers and outside consultants or vendors contracted by the facility.
The Security Manager will collaborate with the Director of Security to ensure the safety of employees, tenants and visitors throughout the organization. He/she will identify security initiatives and work to constantly update security guidelines and procedures. The Security Manager will maintain oversight for security supervisors, as well as, security officers and will physically patrol portfolio properties ensuring the safety of portfolio buildings and tenants. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support services to facilitate smooth operations within The Durst Organization (the “Company”). In addition to typing and filing, answers correspondence and assembles confidential information. The Administrative Assistant interacts with a diverse group of internal and external clients at all levels of the Company. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload to ensure the highest value and best services are provided.
The Director of Project Design Management plays a key role in the Company’s Development Projects. The Director will continually assess Project Design needs and marshal internal and external resources to achieve the Company’s design objectives. The Director will manage direct reports and collaborate with internal department leaders and their team members to ensure that all aspects required by the design process are appropriately staffed. The Director will also oversee the management of external design consultants and is responsible for their performance. The Director will participate throughout various development processes including acquisition, entitlement, design, construction and turnover. However, the Director will be focused primarily on the design process and is responsible for the success of that process. The Director must have extensive experience in assessing and organizing the design efforts of multiple concurrent projects and should have significant experience with the design of ground-up new development projects as well as close familiarity with approval and permitting processes. Responsibilities of the director include but are not limited to: 1) advising and participating in pre-acquisition due diligence including responding to RFPs, 2) leading conceptual design processes, 3) directing the design process, 4) overseeing the management of design consultants 5) management of direct reports in the oversight and QA/QC of the design documents, 6) participating in the bid and procurement and 7) oversight of the shop drawing process. | | The position requires mastery of design and design processes as well as an innate ability to assess and marshal the exact resources needed to effectively and efficiently complete these processes. The Certification Specialist will work with the Compliance Team within the Residential Leasing and Operations Department. This position provides administrative support relating to all aspects of occupancy and is predominately responsible for the qualification of new residents and the annual recertification process in accordance to governing agency guidelines. This responsibility requires organization and great attention to detail.
The Residential Collections Associate has the primary responsibility to support the work of the Collections Team. S/he will be responsible for maintaining accurate resident records, reconciliation of residents’ accounts including the sub-metered electric accounts, past resident accounts and develop effective relationships to resolve delinquent accounts. The responsibility requires great organization, attention to detail and time management skills. The ideal candidates will have excellent verbal communication skills and an eye for accuracy.

The Command Center of OWTC is the nerve center of One World Trade Center (OWTC) Security operation, having the ability to monitor all surveillance cameras, access control systems, the ability to communicate clearly with staff through a base station mobile radio, as well as hard line telephone and internet access. The Command Center (CC) staffing usually consists of a minimum of two Security Officers (SO) and one Security Supervisor or Manager. Under the guidance and direction of the Supervisor, these SOs perform multiple tasks described in a separate memorandum. The Information Technology Support Specialist is responsible for general help desk duties, including setting up new users, user’s day-to-day application and computer issues. They manage general daily user requests for assistance and support the Network Operations in maintaining and improving user experience and performance
The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and scheduling backup support to the Chairman, some personal assistant work, and assistance to the rest of the Executive Administrative Support team. The Attorney will work closely with the General Counsel and Associate Corporate Counsel to oversee the management of The Durst Organization’s legal affairs and procedures, pertaining to residential property management, operations, leasing, and compliance.
The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for helping to set the strategic direction for and executing all branding, marketing, social media and advertising for the organization and its affiliates. The individual will work closely with senior leadership of the company and will lead the internal marketing team and manage relationships with outside vendors and advisors.
The Events Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and directing events across The Durst Organization. Working with internal and external clients, s/he will plan and execute an estimated 100 events per year, ranging from board meetings, to corporate off-sites, partner activations and workshops, to holiday parties and more.The Events Manager will collaborate closely with other departments, including Marketing, Office Operations, Residential, Commercial Leasing, Operations and other members of the Durst team to ensure the Amenities and Events team meet the business needs and standards. The Compliance Specialist will work closely with our Senior Compliance Manager to help with operations and oversite of the Compliance team. The Compliance Specialist has the primary responsibility of the qualification of new residents for occupancy and the annual recertification process as it relates to Low Income Housing Tax Credit, 421-a, Rent Stabilization, Affirmative Fair Housing, State and City Regulatory guidelines.
